CT. Gilbert & Sullivan Society Presents The Yeomen Of The Guard In Deep River, CT

The CT. Gilbert & Sullivan Society Presents The Yeomen Of The Guard In Deep River, CT.  The Gilbert & Sullivan performances by the Connecticut Gilbert & Sullivan Society are comic opperetta's and high quality performances.

The Yeomen of the Guard is a comic operetta, performed with a professional orchestra, and singers, as well as elaborate costumes and stage sets.  I have been to other Gilbert and Sullivan performances, all of them have been excellent, but to date the The Pirates of Pendia is my favorite.  However, out of all the Gilbert & Sullivan's operetta's, Gilbert considered The Yeomen of the Guard the best operetta they had written, and Sullivan's favorite.

The CT. Gilbert & Sullivan Society is based out of Middletown, CT., and in the past their performance have been at Middletown High and Mercy School, but The Yeomen of the Guard, will be performed at the Valley Regional High School in Deep River, CT.  Even though performances will not be until October 19 & 20, tickets should be purchased early for these performances.  If you have not been to a operetta by the Ct. Gilbert & Sullivan Society before, I promise you will be impressed if you attend the CT. Gilbert & Sullivan Society Presentation Of The Yeomen Of The Guard In Deep River, CT.

Hope the shows are well attended as a lot of work goes into putting these performances together. Nice job sharing about a local event.

George, That would be wonderful to watch. A comedic operetta is putting the best of two classics together.

Hi George - It's nice to see that Gilbert & Sullivan are still being performed. They were very popular when I was a kid, and I haven't seen a performance in many, many years. I'd definitely go if there were one in my area.

Joe, the one I have go to in the past have been packed.  This being a new location, I am not sure if it will be as well attended but I would think it would draw a good crowd from those down on the shore.

Ginny the CT Gilbert & Sullivan Society does a fantastic job with each and every show they put on I am sure this one will not be any different.

Michael you and Joe are right and the quality is very evident.

Debbie I agree, and may be that is why I enjoy their performances so much.

Joan they do an excellent job with the costumes and scenery.  Everything is very professional.

Dick then you are going to have to make a trip to CT and I will treat you to a show :)
