200,000 Points And Counting :) :)

Today I reach a point total (200,000 Points) that I did not think I would ever reached when I first became a member of ActiveRain in September of 2006. It has taken me longer than others who joined around the same time to reach this milestone, because I have not blogged much in the last several months, so most of my points over the last year have been a result of comments that I make every day on blogs that I enjoy reading.

ActiveRain has been a great resource for me over this time. Not only has this site kept me informed about what the (TRUE) market conditions are around the country, and about different facets of this great industry of ours, but it also has been a source of business for me. Along the way I have also made friends all over the country, and have even had the opportunity to meet a few of the members on here. Because of ActiveRain I feel that I can go in where in the country and be among people that can direct and show me around their neck of the woods.

As business has increased and my responsibilities with the Lender that I work for has grown, I have not had much time to blog, but I do hope to start having time again to keep members up-to-date on what is going on with the Lending Industry these days. But for the time being I would like to thank each and every one of you that have put up with me over this time, and have taken the time to read and comment on the blogs that I have written. Your friendship is important to me, and I hope to share a hug with each of you in the future.

I hope that by the time I reach 300,000 points that the market conditions have changed and that we will all be complaining about there not being enough inventory out there. Remember to stay positive, and things will be positive. Life is what we make of it, and it is there for us to take and enjoy if we choose to. We are the only limitation on what we can accomplish, so let us not short change ourselves.

MEME'd One More Time!!!!!!!!!!

I have been MEME’d again by a couple of good ActiveRain friends (the lovely Linda Scanlan, and the sweating running man Dan Cummings) that like to "Sock It To Me!"  I am not sure where this last MEME started from, but this time it has eight question/categories to respond to, so here goes.

  1. Who is your favorite musical artist? I do not have one particular favorite but Creedence Clearwater Revival CCR), Moody Blues, And Simon & Garfunkel are definitely up there with me as well as Jay McGillicuddy’s favorite Cream.
  2. Who is your favorite artist? Again I do not really have a favorite artist, but since I am into sports, I have always liked the work of LeRoy Neiman.
  3. Who is your favorite blogger? I have several bloggers who I enjoy reading, and if I comment on your blog regularly then you are one of them.
  4. f you could meet anyone (alive or dead), who would it be and what is the most interesting thing about them? Jesus and the Apostle Paul would be at the top. I have so many questions to ask them when I get to the big house, that they will probably be ready to kick me out real soon, so that they can get away from me.
  5. What did you want to be when you grew up? I love sports and my dream was to be a professional player in any sport, but to where the Yankee pin stripes would have been the ultimate.
  6. What is the most interesting piece of trivia you know? I have been trying to think of one but so far I am a blank ………… Sorry.
  7. If you could live in any point in history what would it be and why? I would not want to be in any other place or time then right here right now. I love my family and friends and can’t think of anything better than that.
  8. What is the most interesting job you have ever held? Being a Loan Officer is the most interesting job that I have had so far. Every day and Loan is different from the one before with new challenges to each one. Watching the smile on the face of a first time home buyer when they take hold of the keys to their first house, and knowing that I was a part of that is really special to me. I can’t think of anything better than being able to make money while I give away money. It does not get any better than that.

There you have it, now I will pass this MEME on to a new member that I invited to ActiveRain that has caught the "AR Blogging Addiction"  Valerie Osterhoudt.  She has not done a MEME before and I think she will get a kick out of this.
